AI in Public Health: Enhancing Disease Surveillance and Prevention
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing a critical role in public health by enhancing disease surveillance and prevention efforts. This paper explores AI applications in monitoring epidemiological trends, predicting outbreaks, and optimizing vaccination strategies. We review case studies from recent public health initiatives, demonstrating AI's ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and support decision-making. The paper also discusses challenges such as data integration, real-time analysis, and ethical considerations. Recommendations for future research and policy development are provided to strengthen the role of AI in public health.
