AI and Healthcare Inequality: Bridging the Gap
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to address healthcare inequalities by improving access to quality care in underserved populations. This paper explores how AI-driven solutions can enhance healthcare delivery in remote and low-resource settings. We review initiatives that use AI for telemedicine, mobile health applications, and disease surveillance, highlighting their impact on healthcare accessibility and outcomes. The paper also examines the ethical and practical challenges of deploying AI in diverse socio-economic contexts, proposing strategies to ensure equitable benefits from AI advancements in healthcare.
