Enhancing Medical Image Analysis with Artificial Intelligence: Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions
Abstract
This paper provides a comprehensive review of recent advancements in medical image analysis leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. We discuss various applications of AI in interpreting medical images, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, including image segmentation, disease classification, and treatment response assessment. Furthermore, we highlight the challenges and limitations associated with AI-driven medical image analysis, such as data quality issues, interpretability concerns, and regulatory considerations. Finally, we outline promising avenues for future research to address these challenges and maximize the potential of AI in transforming healthcare imaging.
