Abstract

This paper examines the potential of artificial intelligence-driven clinical decision support systems (CDSS) in enhancing infectious disease management. We discuss the role of AI in analyzing epidemiological data, predicting disease outbreaks, and optimizing treatment protocols for infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, influenza, and antibiotic-resistant infections. Furthermore, we address the ethical, legal, and regulatory considerations associated with deploying AI-driven CDSS in healthcare settings and propose strategies to mitigate potential risks while maximizing the benefits of these systems for infectious disease control and prevention.
