AI in Mental Health: Innovations in Diagnosis and Therapy
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is advancing mental health care by improving the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. This paper reviews AI applications in detecting conditions such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia through natural language processing and machine learning. We highlight case studies where AI has enhanced diagnostic accuracy, personalized therapy plans, and improved patient monitoring. The paper also addresses challenges such as data privacy, algorithm bias, and the integration of AI into mental health practice. Recommendations for future research and implementation strategies are provided to optimize AI's impact on mental health care.
