AI in Radiotherapy: Enhancing Precision and Outcomes in Cancer Treatment
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming radiotherapy by enhancing precision and treatment outcomes in cancer care. This paper explores AI applications in treatment planning, dose optimization, and patient monitoring. We review case studies where AI has improved target delineation, reduced side effects, and personalized radiotherapy regimens. The paper also discusses challenges such as data integration, algorithm transparency, and the need for clinical validation. Future research directions are proposed to maximize the benefits of AI in radiotherapy, aiming to improve patient survival and quality of life.
