AI in Occupational Health: Enhancing Workplace Safety and Employee Wellbeing

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is advancing occupational health by enhancing workplace safety and employee wellbeing. This paper explores AI applications in predicting workplace injuries, optimizing ergonomic interventions, and monitoring employee health. We review case studies demonstrating AI's ability to reduce workplace accidents, improve health outcomes, and enhance productivity. The paper also discusses challenges such as data privacy, algorithm transparency, and integration with existing health and safety programs. Future research directions are proposed to maximize the benefits of AI in occupational health, aiming to create safer and healthier work environments.
