AI in Rheumatology: Innovations in Diagnosis and Treatment of Rheumatic Diseases

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming rheumatology by improving the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoarthritis. This paper reviews AI applications in predicting disease flares, optimizing treatment plans, and monitoring patient outcomes. We highlight case studies where AI has enhanced diagnostic accuracy, personalized therapy, and improved patient quality of life. The paper also discusses challenges such as data integration, patient privacy, and the need for clinical validation. Future research directions are proposed to maximize the benefits of AI in rheumatology.
